Relation between your AdSense earnings and robot.txt file.
How Google AdSense display relevant ads on your website:
- AdSense crawler scans your web-contents once a week.
- Then AdSense determines specific keywords from your web-contents.
- Then AdSense display relevant ads on your web pages.
How your robots.txt file prohibits AdSense to display relevant ads:
AdSense crawler: AdSense has its one crawling system. It is totally different from Google crawler. The AdSense crawling system will not index URLs to improve your search result in Google search engine. It scans your site content in order to display relevant ads.
Robots.txt file will prohibit AdSense crawler: AdSense crawler will not visit those pages or directories which prohibited by your robots.txt file. So, AdSense may not display relevant ads on those pages or directories. (But you have to display relevant ads in order to earn more revenue from any ad network).
To allow the AdSense crawler to crawl your website properly in order to display relevant ads, put following code in top of your robot.txt file.
User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
Disallow:
So, it is very clear that if AdSense unable to crawl your content properly then you will not get relevant ads from AdSense.
Now, if AdSense is unable to display content related ads on your site, then your will never get much number of clicks on AdSense.
That means your AdSense earning is totally depends on displaying relevant ads. Again, displaying relevant ads is depends on your robot.txt file. So, we can say that AdSense earning is also depends on robot.txt file.
So, check your robot.txt file now to increase your AdSense earning…
