Difference Between Google.com and Google.co.in
Here is a vast difference between Google.com and Google.co.in. Let’s discuss this.
Google.com is a universal version or the original version. On the other hand, Google.co.in is the Indian version search engine of Alphabet inc.
Google provides its service in many countries, such as the U.K., Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand, Russia, China, etc. See the complete list of Google regional domains.
Google offers a regional version of search engines to provide more localised search results to the users. People mainly look for products, services, and new products within their territory rather than internationally.
That is why Google’s regional search engines prioritise country-based results first.
That means if you are in India and using Google.co.in, you will see the results that belong to India first.
However, if you use Google.com, you can see results worldwide. Just follow the screenshots.
I’ve used the letter ‘a to show how the search engine reacts differently.
Update: Those screenshots were taken in 2012. Now, Google automatically displays your regional search results unless you change your region in the search setting. No matter what domain you are using.
So, if you want to search within a particular country, you should use the regional search. You can follow Google search help to access the Google regional search (follow the steps below).
