How to Write a Quality Search Description for Your Website
Search engines are getting smarter day by day and it’s ranking relevant and user friendly topic better than any xyz. Therefor, your search description should be relevant to your site contents and also to the topic. It should only contain those keywords which your site is capable of. Never use irrelevant keywords to target wider range of organic traffic. This might reduce the SEO strength of your site.
Find out the most relevant keywords;
To know the most relevant keywords for your site, you can simply go to the Search Console and follow the steps below-
- Login into your Webmaster Tools dashboard.
- Go to your site dashboard.
- Go to Search Analytic under Search Traffic tab and find the most relevant keywords for your site.
New websites has no such facility like Webmaster tools to determine the most appropriate keywords among a list of pre-present search queries.
So, if you’re launching a new website, then you have to go to a keyword planner like AdWords Keyword Planner. Then search for less competitive but higher search volume keywords using your website topic. Or simply paste your URL in the “search for new keywords and ad group ideas” box to get relevant keyword ideas.

How to write:
Search engine like Google.com display only 150-156 characters of your search description along with your site title and link. So, write a short (150 character) and attractive business message using your keywords as your search description.

After making your search description ready, you need a code to put that in your site. Here’s the code-

Replace the red words with your description and place it just under your <title> tag.
Now, you’re done!
Note: Duplicate meta description will reduce your SEO power so, write different meta description for each separate pages.
